Kim Hayter

July 15th, 1958 - July 19th, 2024

Kim Ellen Hayter, age 66, of North Port, FL, passed away on July 19, 2024.  She was born in Traverse City, Michigan on July 15, 1958 and moved to Florida in 1978. Kim worked as a nurse for over 40 years before retiring. She will be remembered as someone who loved animals, trips to Universal, shopping, teddy bears, cruises and travel.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Hayter, sisters Kathy LeRoy Knowles and Kristy LeRoy Hooper; nephews Adam Wilson, Tyler Knowles and Lawrence Boyd IV; grandniece Elizabeth Wilson and grandnephews Everest Knowles and Gabriel LeRoy. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert V. LeRoy, her mother, Ruth Ann Herbert, and brother Kent LeRoy. 

A service will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on September 6, 2024, at Sarasota National Cemetery at 11:30 am.

My wonderful, sweet sister, the best big sister in the world.! She is missed so very much. Our hearts are broken with the passing of Kim. But I will have memories of her for the rest of my life! I pray she is with our family in heaven. Thanks to her wonderful husband Bobby for giving her years and years of absolute joy! 🙏🏻💕🙏🏻 Kristy Hooper, the little baby brat!
