Kimberly Jeanne Bass (NéeHodge ), age 57 of Monterey, California passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Kimberly was born to the late Robert F. Hodge and surviving mother Junette M. Hodge on September 9, 1961. Kimberly grew up in Ventura County where she graduated from Hueneme High School, Oxnard, California in 1979. Kimberly was active in cheerleading, song leading, the Kiwanis club and volunteering at St. John's Hospital. After graduating from Hueneme High School, Kimberly began her Civil Service Career with the Federal Government that would span over 25 years. Througout her career, Kimberly received many achievements and recognition due to her exemplary work ethic, strong leadership skills, and unwavering integrity and commitment to supporting the warfighter. Kimberly’s love and dedication to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was evident to all and she loved serving in her church anytime a need arose. Kimberly had a heart of gold and a passion for family, friends, camping, cooking, baking, antiques and decorating. Kimberly is survived by her husband Brian Bass of Monterey, California, daughter Elizabeth Gates of Ventura, California, Sisters Roberta Williams (husband Walter) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Danielle Willis (husband George) of Ladson, South Carolina, Monique Lupoli of Oxnard, California, and Janine Sothern (husband Joel) of Thousand Oaks, California. The family would like to express their gratitude for the loving and compassionate care provided by all the doctors and staff at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP) and the Pacific Cancer Care center. Memorial Services will be held on the following two (2) dates, Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Calvary Chapel, 2620 Santa Maria Way, Santa Maria, CA 93455 (805-922-1822) and Constitution Park, 1313 Paseo Camarillo, Camarillo, CA 93010, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Cancer Research Foundation, Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula
