Funeral Alternatives of Washington - Tumwater
Kimberly Dawn Petty Head
Surrounded by family and friends, Kim died from advanced pancreatic cancer on September 26, 2014, 39 days after initial diagnosis. Kim was born to Don and Sharon Petty, on December 26, 1960 in Mount Vernon, Washington. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School with the class of 1979, and married James Head in 1981. She had two children, Jeremy and Chrissy, and one granddaughter, Kailana Clark, who all reside in Olympia, Washington. Kimi was preceded in death by her father, Don Petty, and is survived by her children and granddaughter; her brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Jill Petty of Auburn, Washington; her mother and stepfather, Sharon and Dean Foster of Olympia; stepbrothers, David (Risa), Michael and Scott Foster of Seattle; her aunt, Ann Oakland of Mount Vernon; and many nieces and nephews. Kim will always be remembered for her enthusiasm, expert mushrooming, that great laugh, her beautiful red hair, and loyalty to family and friends. Kim was a wonderful mother, daughter and sister, but most of all she was a great friend to all she met. She welcomed all and cherished every opportunity to love and be loved. Kim, you were loving, kind, generous, funny and goofy as hell, but always so happy, smiling and laughing. We are missing you. Please leave memories of Kim or condolences for her family in the Guestbook below.
