October 19th, 1938 - July 12th, 2012
Kernersville-Rev. Kin Wah Tang, 73, went home to be with his Lord July 12, 2012. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be held 4:00PM Sunday July 15, 2012 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with Pastor Dave Cash officiating. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium. A native of Malaysia, but he was so very proud when he obtained his US citizenship January of 2011. A member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church, he served as the Minister of Pastoral Care, Sunday School Teacher and choir member. He was married to the late Poey Sim Khaw. Survivors include his daughter Beatrix Tan and her husband Chee-Sun Tan of Kernersville; sons Eric Tang and his wife Betsy of Kernersville and Derek Tang and his wife Katie of Burlington; grandchildren Ashley, Kristen, Rachel, Marisa, Shayna, Joseph, and Simone; goddaughter Beng Imm Low and her husband Bill Carr of Vashon Island, Washington; sister Daisy Trent and her husband Clarke of Wilmington; brother Howard Tang and his wife Dina of Rocky Mount. The family will visit with friends from 6-8pm Saturday evening at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home.
