Kit Cortez
June 6th, 1960 - May 18th, 2018
Kit William Cortez lost his fight with early onset Alzheimer's & kidney failure on May 18, 2018. Born on June 6, 1960 in Milwaukee to the late Selso & Dorothea (Kasten) Cortez. Kit was the youngest sibling to the late Selso Kim & Susan. Kit graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran High School in 1978. Kits GINORMOUS heart allowed him to be true to himself yet make others feel as if they were the only person in the room. Kit’s verbal eloquence, above & beyond knowledge of anything (especially music, movies & cartoons) along with his sharp, creative, comedic genius, made Kit the heartbeat of any gathering and a BLESSING to know! Kits jobs were at places he could use his love of music, food & people. Kit’s heart brought him home from living in Colorado to take care of his aging father. Kit now has a place among the stars he viewed during his TREASURED time camping with friends during the Perseid in August. This yearly tradition called S.P.A.M. (Special People Admiring Meteors) was conceived over 30 years ago by friends of Kits. It was a place of pure peace & joy for Kit! Some of Kits other TREASURES were a Green Bay Packer party, a he man woman haters poker game, a Schaefer beer, music, engaging with friends in a word for word exchange of a multi time viewed & enjoyed cartoons, Monty Python with friends, giving a HUG that was unparalleled and his faith in God. Kit is survived by his niece Amy, nephew David, great nieces & nephews & MANY friends. Services will be held on Sunday September 23, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. unil the end of the Packer game at Studio Winery 401 Sheridan Springs Road, Lake Geneva, WI 53147.
