Kody Kash Schmidt

Kody Schmidt, 6, of Vale, South Dakota, formerly of LaSalle, CO passed away at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York surrounded by his family. Kody was born October 1, 2016 to Tyler Jason and Brooke Renae (Tiffany) Schmidt. Kody was a little fighter, living life to the fullest before and during treatment. He loved trucks, being outside with his family, helping operate equipment and he loved the simple beauty of Christmas lights and looking at the stars and being in the quiet of their new home. He also loved going to church with his grandparents at Trinity Lutheran Church, Greeley. Thankful to have shared his life are his parents, Tyler and Brooke, his sisters, Kennedy and Kayleen, grandparents Doug and Nita Schmidt and Dave and Bonnie Tiffany, great-grandparents Lloyd and Shirley Schwalm as well as aunts, uncles and cousins and a host of “Kody’s Warriors”. Kody’s family will host an open house on Friday, December 9, 2022 at the Platte River Events Center, 22999 Highway 34, Greeley from 4-9 p.m. A Life Celebration will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Greeley.
