Konstantina Vroustouris of Falls Church, Virginia, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. She is preceded in death by her husband Demetri “Jimmy” Vroustouris; and is survived by her four children Jenny Batistas (Vatistias), Nick Vroustouris (Jo Ann), Voula (Ron Bowman), and Theodora Vroustouris (David Tucholski). She is survived by her brother Anthony, her two sisters Theoktisti and Alexandra; 10 grandchildren Eleni, Demetri, Rebecca, Demos, Nick, James, Steven, Hayley, Constance, and Charlene; and five great-grandchildren Alex, Angelina, Olivia, Sophia, and Lucius. She is preceded in death by her brothers George and Nick, and her grandson Robert. Konstantina Vroustouris was born in Greece on September 12, 1931, immigrated to Canada in the 1950s, and then to the United States in the 1960s. Konstantina was a loving mother and restaurateur who started Athens Pizza Restaurant with her husband Jimmy in 1978 and at Baileys Crossroads in 1994. She retired in 2002 and spent the remainder of her life spending it with her family. The funeral service will be held in her honor at St. Katherine’s Greek Orthodox Church, 3149 Glen Carlyn Rd, Falls Church, VA 22041, on Thursday, June 8, with a viewing at 10:30 am and a service following at 12:00 pm. Following the service, we will gather at Columbia Gardens Cemetery, 3411 Arlington Blvd, Arlington, VA, 22201, where she will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Konstanina to St. Katherine’s Greek Orthodox Church.
