Kris Brooks

Christina Brooks was a loving soul. She was known by many and loved by all. Whether you were a patient of hers in the emergency department or a life-long friend, you were always in her thoughts and prayers. Christina was an incredible person who would put the concerns of others before her own concerns. Her husband loved how her interactions with others had slowly transform her into the gracious woman that she wanted to be. And despite the thoughts and prayers of so many kind people, she passed away at an early age after a long and complicated battle with breast cancer. Christina is survived by her father, Norman Merski, and her mother, Katherine Barker. She is survived by her sisters Kate Stiles, Ntina Brooks, and Michele Brooks. Christinas surviving brothers are Ronald Merski, Jeff Brooks, Justin Charlebois, and Pat Brooks. She is preceded in death by her sister, Caroline Merski; her father-in-law, Brian Brooks; and her mother-in-law, Susan Brooks. Alexander and Kassia Brooks are Christinas children. They are beautiful people, just like their mother. They love her so and miss her dearly. Christinas husband is Michael Brooks. He has been blessed by her company for almost twenty-five years and cherished Christina as his best friend. He is the man he is today due to the company of an incredible woman who lived life as an angel and touched all she called friend. He dearly misses her company and longs to see her beautiful smile once again. An evening vigil will be held on Friday and a funeral mass will be held on Saturday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. We will then meet at the Colorado Mountain Brewery for all to celebrate the love and life of Christina Brooks.
