Krissa Kaye Farrand, born on March 19, 1970, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, passed away on May 19, 2023, in Moore Haven, Florida. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Krissa touched the lives of many with her free-spirited nature, strong-willed independence, and whole-hearted love. Krissa leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in her five adoring children: Alex Buss, Cody Buss, Devin Wallace, KayeLeena Wallace, and Hunter Farrand. Krissa was a source of strength and inspiration to her children, raising them single-handedly. She cherished her role as a mother and was deeply proud of her children's accomplishments. Born into the loving arms of Merlyn Farrand and Linda Herchenroder, Krissa was adopted shortly after birth. She grew up with her sister, Janna Faye, and brother Matthew Howard. Family meant everything to Krissa, and she cherished the bonds she shared with her loved ones.Krissa was also an incredible grandmother, adored by her six grandchildren: Nevaeh Bass, Bailee Sauser,Owen Buss, Olivia Buss, Miya Buss, and LiLee Powell, all of whom she held close to her heart. She found joy and happiness in their laughter and she held onto every moment she got to spend with them. Having moved to Florida, Krissa expanded her circle of friends and considered them her chosen family. Her infectious spirit and appreciation for life attracted many, and she valued the friendships she made. Krissa had a passion for finding joy in life's simple pleasures, such as the beauty of tiger lilies, breathtaking sunsets, and the swaying palm trees. She found comfort in the warm embrace of sunshine and enjoyed moments spent on fishing trips and precious family time. Krissa Kaye Farrand will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, family, and friends, as they remember her as a loving mother, devoted grandmother, and a vibrant soul who lived life to the fullest.
