Kristi Lynne Kendall Wintersteen Alexander

Kristi Wintersteen, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and wife, passed away on April 10th, 2023, at the age of 62. Kristi was born on October 25th, 1960, to Richard and June Kendall. She grew up in Brookings, Oregon, and graduated from Brookings-Harbor High School in 1978. Kristi moved to Eugene soon after, continued her education, and joined the Railroad where she worked for over 20 years. Kristi married her first husband David Wintersteen in September of 1981. Four years later, their twin sons were born in 1985: Richard and Ryan. In 1995, Christopher Jones was born. Kristi married her second husband Daniel Alexander in July of 2000. Kristi had a passion for horseback riding and had many trophies and awards that showcased her love of horses. She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. Kristi is survived by her three children, Ryan Wintersteen (Kevin), Richard Wintersteen (Jake), and Christopher Cain (Jessie). Her sister Kathie Cain (John). Her grandchildren Landon, LaRhea and Logan. Her nieces and nephews Jason (Allison), Justin (Julia), Kevin (Kylie) and Leslie (Devin). Stepchildren David (Rosa), Daniel (Stephanie), Lisa and Cody. Step grandchildren Ashley, Cody, Daysha, Desiree, Dominic, Isabella, and Jasmine and several step great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and June Kendall, and her sister Karen. A private family service will be held in her honor on May 20th, 2023 at Sunnyside Funeral, Cremation & Memorial Gardens in Happy Valley, Oregon at 4pm.
