Kristine "Krissy" Michelle Taylor
August 20th, 1963 - August 14th, 2018
Kristine Michelle “Krissy” Taylor August 20, 1963 – August 14, 2018 Native of Watsonville A memorial mass will be celebrated in Corralitos for long time resident Krissy Taylor who passed away at Natividad Medical Center in Salinas just one week before her 55th birthday. Born in Watsonville, Krissy graduated from Watsonville High School and then attended Gavilan College in Gilroy where she earned her Cosmetology certificate. A talented hairdresser with a career spanning over 35 years, Krissy leaves many dear friends, clients and colleagues who will miss her very much. She worked side by side with her mom at Hair Directors Ltd in Watsonville, and Hair Directors II, which she owned and operated for many years. Krissy loved children and was a familiar face to both parents and students of Bradley Elementary School in Watsonville and Mar Vista Elementary School in Aptos, where she worked as a yard duty supervisor with the Pajaro Valley Unified School District. She was a fantastic cook who could whip up a meal from whatever was in the refrigerator at a moment’s notice. She also loved to snow ski which she had enjoyed since she was a child. Krissy will forever be remembered for her generous spirit. Although she mourned the passing of her son 10 years ago, she never hesitated in helping others, especially young people by providing them a place to be where they were fed great meals and surrounded with care and concern. She was known by her son’s friends as “Mama Krissy”. She was a parishioner at Holy Eucharist Catholic Church in Corralitos and a member of Twin Lakes Church in Aptos. The prayers and support from her church families throughout the years will forever be cherished by her family. Krissy is survived by her mother and father, Vickie and Tony Cadiente of Salinas, her son Jonny Taylor of Watsonville; her sister Kelly Cadiente of Salinas, and a host of loving aunts, uncles and much extended family. She was preceded in death by her son Kyle Gagnon in 2008. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday September 7th, at 11:00 AM at Holy Eucharist Catholic Church (527 Corralitos Road, Watsonville 95076). Committal services will be private at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Aptos, where she will be laid to rest with her late son, Kyle. Any kind acts of charity can be made in her memory to Teen Challenge – Freedom House, P.O. Box 1746, Freedom, CA 95019.
