Kyle Anthony Hunter

A Homecoming Service for Kyle Anthony Hunter, 44, of West Columbia, will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, August 23, 2021 at Kittiwake Baptist Church, 420 Kitti Wake Drive, West Columbia, SC 29170. Pastor Timothy Sieberhagen will officiate. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service at the church. The family will hold a burial service at a later date at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Kyle Hunter passed away at his home Tuesday, August 17, 2021. Born in Columbia, he was a son of Clarice Hunter Smalley and the late Wellon S. Hunter. Kyle had a special quality about him; it drew people to admire and care for him. He had a well-developed sense of humor, and was a loyal friend. Kyle was a loving son, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a member of Kittiwake Baptist Church, where he came to know Jesus, and grew strong in his faith. In addition to his mother, Kyle is survived by his brothers, Stephen Hunter (Shannon) of Lexington, Brian Hunter (Jennifer) of West Union, SC; sister, Monica Williams (John) of Columbia; nieces and nephews; Jordan Hunter (Cory), Dylan and Shelby Hunter, Wells, Zachary, Hunter, Savannah and Gia Williams; great-nephew, James Bowen Hunter. Kyle is also survived by his beloved “buddy”, Davey the Maltese. Kyle was predeceased by his father. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kittiwake Baptist Church Building Fund, 420 Kitti Wake Drive, West Columbia, SC 29170.
