WEST COLUMBIA—Funeral services for L.B. "Curley" Langston, Jr., 91, of West Columbia, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2014 at Holland Avenue Baptist Church, 801 12th Street, Cayce, SC 29033. Reverend Charles Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will greet friends 11:30-12:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, 200 State Street, West Columbia, SC 29073 will be assisting the family. Mr. Langston, beloved husband of the late Caro Lee Langston, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Born in Timmonsville, he was a son of the late Leroy Bernard Langston, Sr. and Bessie Cole Langston. He was a Charter Member of Holland Ave Baptist Church and a lifelong area resident. He retired from Greyhound Bus Lines. He was a proud Veteran of World War II where he served as a Staff Sargent. Surviving are his sons, Martin Langston (Karin), Leroy B. Langston, Jr. (Clara), Jonathan L. Langston (Alice) and David W. Langston (Debbie); grandchildren, Debbie Chary, Jerome Pelfrey, Regina Brewer, Chambre Nelssen, Lee Langston III, Layne Langston, Lawrence Langston and Patrick Langston; great-grandchildren, Dylan Langston, George Brewer, Coty Langston, Laura Lee Langston, Nicholas Langston, Eleanna Langston, Grant Langston, Hanna Chary, Jesse Chary, Austin Pelfrey, Connor Pelfrey, Blair Nelssen, Anna Dora Nelssen, , He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lolita Matthews and a brother, Blair H. Langston. Memorials may be made to Holland Ave. Baptist Church Youth and Children's Ministry, 801 12th Street, Cayce, SC 29033.
