L J Hamlin, 62, of Gilbert, SC passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning December 4, 2012 at Lexington Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born January 3, 1950 in Asheville, NC he was the son of the late Lee Roy, Sr and Alda Blanche Yelton Hamlin. Besides his parents L J is predeceased by his sister Connie Hamlin. Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years Debbie Hamlin who he married April 10, 1978; sisters Lucille Robertson of Mars Hill, NC and Joyce McCullough of Hendersonville, NC; brothers Thomas Hamlin (Becky), Russell Hamlin (Rhonda) and Clifton Hamlin (Angie) all of Mars Hill, NC. A gathering to celebrate L J?s life will take place on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 4 P.M. at San Jose Mexican Restaurant 4710 Augusta Road Lexington, SC 29073. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
