He is survived by one sister, Marguerite Savoie as well as two daughters, Susan Weaver & life partner Morris Nelson, Kelley Maloney & life partner Marc Letendre. Jay resided in Manchester, NH for many years with Helen and their 2 daughters. They moved to Northwood, N.H. and spent many years at their lakefront home that he built. He loved the family gatherings and celebrations, especially on the 4th of July which was their wedding anniversary. While living in Northwood, N.H. he was an active member of the Lions Club. Jay & Helen moved to Cocoa Beach, FL in 1986 to start a new chapter of their lives and the family followed shortly behind. They enjoyed all that Florida had to offer, boating, fishing, beaches & cook-outs with the family. Jay was a very active member of the Church of Our Saviour in Cocoa Beach, FL. He was a Eucharistic Minister and he went to the Adoration Chapel once a week before work for several years. He enjoyed being a volunteer at the annual church fair and working at the clam booth! Jay worked for many years both in N.H. and FL as a tire salesman both commercial and retail. He worked for Glenn’s Tire for 18 years in their Cocoa and Melbourne locations before retiring. He enjoyed woodworking and was a member of the Space Coast WoodTurners Club. His hobby leaves many people with beautiful memories of his fine workmanship. Jay was an avid New England Patriots fan as well as Florida Gator’s fan! He loved his family and they loved him very much too! He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched but he will never be forgotten. His smile will always be there for us in our hearts! Due to the risks and restrictions with the COVID-19 there will be no reception after the Memorial Garden ceremony.
