Evans, Lana C. MacDonald, 77, of St. Petersburg, died Monday May 7, 2001 at Carrington Place Convalescent Center. Born in Houston, Texas, she was a resident of St. Petersburg for 75 years. She was a retired beautician, having worked at Wilson-Chase and other salons. She was a long-time member of Lakewood United Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Robert H. Evans of St. Petersburg, a brother, Bill M. MacDonald and wife Joyce of Brandon, Florida, sisters-in-law, Mary Richardson of St. Petersburg, Marjorie Rhyner and husband Jack of Atlanta, Georgia, Thelma Evans of Texas and brother-in-law, Eugene Burford of Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Eileen Burford of Ohio and ?Kay? Mrs. L.A. Law of St. Petersburg. No formal services are planned. Cremation is by Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes and Cremation Tribute Center?Ninth Street Chapel, St. Petersburg. Those desiring to may make a contribution in her name to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast or the American Cancer Society.
