Larry Dean Berry

Larry Dean Berry, 61, of Greeley, CO died Saturday, August 25th, 2012 at North Colorado Medical Center surrounded by family. He was born May 27, 1951 at Weld County Hospital to John Roscoe and Opal Josephine (Tate) Berry. He graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1969. On June 10, 1972 he married Louise (McDermed) Berry. Larry worked at Monfort Packing, Flatiron, LaFarge, and Star Ready Mix before starting his own concrete hauling business, Classic Trucking, in 2003. Larry was a sports enthusiast. He played adult softball for many years. He enjoyed watching and being involved in all his daughters’ activities. He spent many hours coaching and instructing numerous girls’ basketball and softball teams and was most proud of the lifetime memories and experiences the players gained while travelling and playing on those teams. Survivors are his wife, Louise Berry; four daughters, Kelly Berry, Kristi Berry, Kaycee (Dan) Garcia all of Greeley and Karly (Ryan) Beam of Johnstown, CO; one granddaughter, Shaylee Garcia; sisters, Lucille(Gerry) Reid, Nadine (Brent) Parke all of Greeley; brothers, Robert Berry, Gene (Marcy) Berry all of Ft. Collins, CO and David (Jackie) Berry of Grand Junction. He was exceptionally close to his many nieces; nephews; and grand nieces; and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Opal Berry; and brother, Orville John (OJ) Berry. A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Timberline Windsor Church, 360 Crossroads Blvd., Windsor, CO at 10:00 am. Please dress casually or wear something from your favorite team to celebrate Larry’s life now that he is safe at home!
