Larry Eugene Carroll

Mr. Larry Eugene Carroll, age 78 a resident of Auburndale passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at his home surrounded by family. Mr. Carroll was born September 21, 1943 in Auburndale to Earl and Pauline Agnes (Combee) Carroll. He was a lifetime Auburndale resident, graduated from Auburndale High School class of 1962 and a retired Road Building Manager for the City of Lakeland. Larry was a member of the American Public Works Association, Polk County Harley Chapter, NRA and the Bassmasters Fishing Touraments. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding, golf, his recliner and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson – James “BB”; brother – Lamar; sister – Patsy; grandson – Mitchell and granddaughter – Hannah. Larry is survived by his loving family, wife of 39 years – Louise Carroll of Auburndale; 2 sons – Ralph (Brenda) Perdue of Auburndale and Raymond (Liz) Perdue of Lakeland; 3 daughters – Melissa Carroll (JW) Watkins of Lakeland, Marcel (Steve) Schmidt of Georgia and Shelia Perdue (Donnie) Blankenship of Bartow; 13 grandchildren – Jeff, Crystal, Jayde, Charlie, Lane, Christopher, Nathan, Joshua, Gavin, Austin, Victoria, Curtis & Matthew and 8 great grandchildren – Lucas, Carson, Sawyer, Abbey, Alyssa, Haylee, Blake & Brody. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, April 25th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Polk City.
