Larry Jerry Chacon
March 26th, 1950 - March 14th, 2024
Jerry Chacon, 73, of Berthoud, CO, passed away on March 14, 2024. He was born on March 26, 1950, in Alamosa, CO. Jerry retired from Anheuser-Busch after 30 years of service. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and a cherished member of the community.Jerry had a deep love of the mountains. He grew up in the San Luis Valley and spent many summers on his grandfather's ranch, riding horses and learning about ranch life. He made friends easily and kept those friendships for a lifetime. He loved the annual fishing trips with cousins and trips to the valley to help family on the ranch that he continued to the end of his life. Jerry enjoyed hiking and spending time in nature. After retirement he volunteered to help feed the homeless in Loveland and became a member of the Lions Club in Berthoud where he enjoyed testing young children's eyes for vision correction. He loved all sports.He was the eldest of six children and is survived by his wife, Pamela, his daughters Amy Moody (Ross), Amanda Jordan, his granddaughters Ellie and Kiara, his grandson Jacob, sisters, Yvonne Chacon, (Michael Slishinsky), Debi Sanchez (Bennie), Vicki Medina (Frank), and Connie Chacon as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Chacon, and his mother, Edna (Duvie) Chacon, one brother and one niece.He remained a devout man of God throughout his life.A Celebration of Life service will be held at Planet Bluegrass in Lyons, CO, 500 W. Main St., on May 19, 2024 from 1-4 pm.Jerry will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
