Larry Gene McKinney

Larry Gene McKinney, age 69, of Plymouth, CA, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017, with his family by his side at his home in Plymouth. Larry was born in Jordan, Montana on July 16, 1947, a son of the late Cordella Iola (Johnson) and Lester Edwin McKinney. Larry was a lifetime contractor going from home building in the early years to handyman work in the later years. No job was too small and he loved helping people. He is known for his infectious smile, his delicious Barrel Chicken and perfect Tri-Tip. His weekends were spent cooking for local fundraisers, wineries and parties, and he loved every minute of it. He and his wife spent a lot of time travelling with family and friends in the past 10 years including many cruises and resorts. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Katie of Plymouth, CA; sons, Curt Jensen, of Roundup Montana; Ryan McKinney (Tess), of Murrieta, CA; Tyson McKinney, of Sutter Creek, CA; granddaughter, Reygen Jensen; brothers, Ron McKinney and Lloyd McKinney. He was preceded by his brother, Verne McKinney in 2017 All family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at St. Mary's of the Mountains Catholic Church 18765 Church St., Plymouth, CA 95669 at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 7, 2017.
