Larry Joe Mills, 74, passed away January 3, 2021. He is survived by brothers Dave (Chicago) and John (Tucson), sister Cathy (San Diego), nephews Michael (Saundra and Kirianna) and David, and niece Marisa (Gia). Larry has many long-time friends in Tucson and throughout the country. A graduate of Salpointe High School and the University of Arizona, Larry served his country in the U. S. Army in Vietnam as a helicopter crew chief and flight engineer. After graduating from the U of A in 1973, Larry taught high school physical education and science. He followed with other careers including working at the Evergreen Air Center and Hamilton Aviation. Larry retired in 2016 from the American Red Cross. No services will be held due to COVID-19 restrictions. If desired, make a donation in Larry’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project or other veteran support organization of your choice.
