Larry Stephens

Larry A. Stephens, age 67, of Parker, CO passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023. He was born April 18, 1956 in Denver, Colorado, to parents Verlee (Rogers) and Lloyd Stephens. Larry was raised in the Arvada/Broomfield area and spent the last 30 years in his beloved Parker, CO. He loved Parker; most Spring and Summer Sundays, you would find him perusing the Farmer’s Market and spending time in the park. Sometimes he would be accompanied by his “Buddy Beau” to enjoy the downtown atmosphere with him. In the early 2000’s Larry established his own company, Homestead Electric. His first and foremost priorities were his customers, and he was very proud of his work and the lasting relationships he developed within the Parker community. Larry suffered a near-fatal motorcycle accident in 2011 resulting in a Traumatic Brain Injury. His quest for a “new normal” was a daily challenge and late last year another dimension was added to that “normal”. His health continued to decline and as we would expect, Larry left this earth “his own way”. Survivors include daughters, Heather Stephens (Tony Forlenza) and Erica Stephens; his loving ex-wife, Danette Stephens; granddaughters AnnaLee and Audrey; and sister Nancy(Rob) Washburn along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a very large extended family including his “Buddy Beau”. Cremation is planned at this time and a celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
