Larry Wright February 12, 1934 �" June 24, 2008 Age: 74 Residence: Greeley Tribute: Larry Dean Wright was born in Spur, Texas to Vernon and Jimmie Jewel (Amos) Wright. He grew up in Jayton, TX where his parents ran the "original” convenience store. In his younger years he was a bull rider. On February 17, 1955 he married Millie Davis in Snyder, TX. He served as a cook in France during his years in the U.S. Army. Cooking carried over into his life after the Army and he was called the "Bar-B-Q King” by his family. Mr. Wright worked in the oil and gas industry most of his life. He started in the oil fields and advanced during his career to become vice president and partner. He retired in 1999. Mr. Wright enjoyed traveling the world and especially enjoyed trips to Hawaii. He also enjoyed golf, the Broncos, Cowboys, and Rockies, and found great joy in flying his own plane. Since retirement, Mr. Wright has enjoyed volunteer work at North Colorado Medical Center and driving part time for First Choice Limousines. He was a member of Victory Christian Church and loved his family and Jesus. Mr. Wright died on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at North Colorado Medical Center. Survivors: His wife, Millie Wright, of Greeley; three sons, Jerry Wright and wife Beverly of Greeley, Mark Wright and wife Vickie of Gillette, Wyoming, Cody Ben Wright and wife Myranda of Greeley; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Proceeded in death by: His parents; a daughter, Kelly Gosbau; two brothers and three sisters. Visitation: The family will receive friends Sunday, June 29, 2008 from 3:00�"5:00 p.m. at Adamson West Chapel. Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2008 at First Assembly of God Church in Greeley.
