Laura Holmes Ducat Laura, age 71, passed away peacefully September 17, 2011 in Olympia, Washington. She was born June 4, 1940 to Otto and Othell Heard Holmes in Klamath Falls, Oregon. She was raised and cared for by her mother and step-father, Woody Heard. She also lived in Burns, Ore., Crescent City, Calif., Nevada, Wyoming, and Montana. Laura loved to crochet and was a member of The 700 Club. One of her fond memories was being employed at Circle K in Klamath Falls. She also loved her dog, Fluffy, as well as other Pomeranians, both real and toy. She is survived by son Mark Burwell; daughters, Patty Clark, Radonna Chesney, and Laurie Ortiz; brothers, David Holmes (wife, Sandy) and Sam Holmes (wife, Nancy); and sister, Betty Harshman. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, and daughter, Vickie.
