Warner Robins, GA- Laura Keck, 90, also affectionately known as “Lolly” to her family and friends, passed away peacefully at home on Feb 24, 2016. Family will greet friends on Feb, 25 between 6-8pm at Heritage Funeral Home, 701 Carl Vinson Parkway, Warner Robins, GA. A celebration of her life will be held at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church of Warner Robins, 2815 Highway 41, North Fort Valley, GA. at 11:00am, Feb 26 2016 with Reverend Paul Gerlock officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00pm and be held at Andersonville National Cemetery 496 Cemetery Road, Andersonville, GA. Lolly was born in Greenwood, South Carolina to the Late Roy and Esther McRary. She is preceded in death by her first husband retired Col. John David Walker Sr. and her second husband retired Maj. Wilbur Keck. She is survived by her two sons, John David Walker Jr. of St. Augustine, Fl and Rob Roy Walker of Warner Robins, GA; daughters in law Kathrine Walker and Ganine Walker; stepson Richard Keck and stepdaughter Suzanne Keck; sister in law Mary Ellen Shipman; grandchildren Meredith Deal, Joshua Walker, and Nina Best. A gracious hostess, avid golfer, family historian, and dedicated volunteer at Mercer Hospital. Strong in faith and committed to her church family, Lolly was a founding member of Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church and served for three years on the Vestry. Through her dignity and grace, she was an inspiration to many: wife, mother, friend, teacher, mentor, and confidant. Admired and loved by many and missed by all. She now rests in eternal peace.
