Laura M. Kennett

"Palmer, Laura M. Kennett died peacefully on Wednesday, December 8, at Mary Lane Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Swansea, MA on April 6, 1920, she was the daughter of Henry and Alma (Goddu) Berthiaume. She resided in Palmer for most of her life and was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and was employed for many years at the former Better Brush Co. Laura was well know for her beautiful gardens, especially her tomatoe plants and blueberry bushes. A true nature lover, she enjoyed feedinh her birds and watching the animals in her yard from her window. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl in 1953. Laura will be deeply missed by her daughter, Claire Kennett of Palmer along with her four grandchildren, Bruce, Dean and Gary Kennett and Cynthia Kennett Robbins, her five great-grandchildren, Jessica, Tyson, Kelly, Joshua and Zachary and seven great-great grandchildren. Her sister, Christine Carter and brother, Gerard Berthiaume also survive her. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by many brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Beers and Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 No. Main St. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
