Laura Ann "Shirley" Rape, 88, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 28, 11:00AM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Patrick Stone will officiate. A visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Saturday, from !0:00AM until 11:00AM, one hour prior to the service. Shirley's remains will be buried after the services in the Centerville Cemetery. Shirley was born on August 11, 1935 in Macon, Georgia to the late Leroy and Mamie Stone. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Broer T. Rape; sisters: Johnnie Caldwell and Betty Markins; and brother, Patrick Stone. Shirley is survived by her daughters: Loraine Reynolds, Cheryl Ann Rape, and Laurie Carter; grandchildren: Creig Eakin, Caleb Eakin, Sierra McLean, and Trevor Carter; great grandchildren: Regan Eakin, Michayla Carnley, Jacob Eakin, Tristan Eakin, Mika McLean, Jasper McLean, Raylan McLean, and Cale Carter; and great great grandchildren: Lane and Harper Hill. Shirley enjoyed bowling with the Women of the Moose Bowling Team and was along time Woman of the Moose Lodge. She worked and played bingo there for a number of years. Shirley was a feisty but loving woman who will be missed by all who knew her. Shirley's family would like to thank Regency Southern Care for the level of care and support they provided over the past year.. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
