Lauren was born on May 8, 1947 to William Peter and Vivian Salina (Filppula) Isaacson. He passed away on June 30, 2017 at the age of 70 after a battle with cancer. Lauren grew up in the Portland area and attended Benson High School. On September 21, 1966 he was drafted into the US Military where he fought in the Korean work in 1967-1968. He was in the 1st Battalion, 15th artillery, 2nd infantry division. While in the military he was awarded the National defense metal and Sharpshooter (Rifle M14). When he returned home, he began his almost 40 year career as a mechanic. He retired earlier in 2017. Lauren loved the property he purchased in 1984 where he raised his 4 children. He would spend countless hours in the barn tinkering on projects, equipment, or cars. He enjoyed working with kids and volunteering with sports programs, 4-H/FFA and every other opportunity that arose while raising his children. He will always be remembered as hardworking and could do anything. He was always be wiling to help anyway he could. Lauren is survived by his wife of 36 years Karalyn, Sons Scott Isaacson; Reno Nevada and Lance (Chantea )Isaacson; Mulino, Oregon and daughters Michelle Fischer; Portland, Oregon and Laura (Ted) Georges; Sisters, Oregon as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren
