Lauren Beth Phillips

Lauren Phillips of St Petersburg, Florida passed peacefully on April 28, 2015. A devout optimist and lover of life, Lauren refused to acquiesce to the cancer that eventually took her from us. Lauren was passionate about her work and continued to work during her medical treatments. She never lost faith, stayed up beat and strong to the very end. Her attitude was remarkable, and she never lost her constant and contagious laugh. Being an optimist was nothing new to Lauren. She lit up any room she walked in to. Lauren always fought for what she believed in and had many passions in her lifetime. Lauren loved traveling and spent much of her youth on boats traveling around the world where she eventually met Ted, the love of her life in Palm Springs California. In later years her focus was her beloved husband Ted, her adored daughter Tiffany, and after she obtained her Masters in Social Work with honors, her successful career that followed. Those who worked with her will tell you that she was the best there was at what she did. Lauren was proud of her success and worked hard to achieve it. She will be dearly missed by her husband Ted, son Steve, his wife Rita, her three grandchildren, sister Debrah, Brother in law Tom, her many nieces, nephews and cousins and untold numbers of friends and colleagues. We shall never forget her smile and rare spirit.
