Laurie Ann Allen, 58, of Merritt Island, FL passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020. There will be a Celebration of Life at Our Saviors Catholic Church in Cocoa Beach on Saturday, July 18th, 2020, at 1:00 PM. Laurie will be laid to rest in Bristol, Rhode Island. Laurie was born June 16th, 1962 in Fall River, Massachusetts but was raised in Bristol, Rhode Island. She was the oldest child of Roger Sears and Laura Medeiros Sears. Laurie married Kenneth Allen in February of 1985 and shortly after they moved to Florida where they raised their three children. Laurie was a bright and vibrant soul that touched the hearts of everyone she met but her greatest accomplishment was her children. She loved being a mother and most recently a grandmother. Her grandchildren lovingly called her Vovo which means grandma in Portuguese. Laurie is survived by her husband Kenneth Allen, and their children. Kenneth and his wife Carinne, Brandon and his wife Erin, and daughter Felecia Allen. She is also survived by her brother Steven and his wife Erin and sister Dawn Sears. She is also survived by her cherished Aunt Rose Bookout who she loved to talk to daily. And she leaves behind a legacy of her beloved grandchildren, niece, and nephews: Blake, Landon, Ella, Caiden, Connor, Cameron, Christian, and Siena.
