LaVonne Mae Oldham
April 29th, 1928 - May 17th, 2024
LaVonne Mae Oldham (Leetch) died peacefully in Meridian, Idaho at the age of 96 on May 17, 2024.
LaVonne is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Teresa Oldham; daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Lowell Denny; daughter-in-law, Judi Oldham; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of sixty-four years, Donald C. Oldham, her daughter, Doneta K. Oldham, her son, Gail L. Oldham, a granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren.
LaVonne was born in Danbury, Iowa to William J. Leetch and Alice R. Leetch (Fisher), where she was raised until her family moved to Junction City, Oregon in her early teens, where she met the love of her life, Donald C. Oldham. After his time in the service, they were married on June 8th, 1946. Shortly after, the couple moved to Idaho, where they raised their three children: Gail L. Oldham, Raymond C. Oldham (Teresa), and Annette M. Oldham (Denny), and where they remained for the sixty-four years of their marriage. In Idaho, LaVonne watched as her family grew from three children to include eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and an additional four great-great-grandchildren. From being an only child to the matron of a great family tree, LaVonne lived a full life, filled with family and love.
Aside from being a mother and grandmother, LaVonne was an expert markswoman and belonged to a rifle club. She also enjoyed her time in a local flower club and an all-women’s pinochle club. As an outdoors woman, she loved camping with the Good Sam group and her family. She will most be remembered for her willingness to always speak her mind and her artistic endeavors: painting, drawing, and crocheting. Her colorful afghans, blankets, doll clothes, and pot holders live on in the homes of her family and will be handed down for generations to come.
In recognition of her long life and impressive legacy, services will be held on Wednesday June 5th. A family gathering will be held from 2:00 to 2:30 PM at Accent Funeral Home in Meridian followed by the graveside service at 3:00 PM at Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens, where she will rest next to her greatest love, Donald Oldham.

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
