Lawrence H. Achen died on June 23, 2022, in Eugene Oregon at age 99. He was born in Chester, South Dakota to Hilarious and Margaret (Frank) Achen. He is survived by his wife of 76 years Gertrude (Peplau), and children Joseph (Cindy), Michael (Sherlene), Thomas (Judy), Susanne Tatar, Joan (Carl) Williams, Vincent, Karen (Cliff) Norris, Veronica Newman, Mary Smith, Paul (Kathy), and James (Davina). He was preceded in death by son, Charles. He has 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Lawrence was buried at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eugene Oregon on June 27. A celebration of life will be held in September.
