Reflections of Life Mr. Lawrence B. Dozier, 79, was the son of the late Thelma and Brazie Dozier. He was born March 06, 1940 in Saluda County. He departed this earthly life on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Agape Hospice House of Lexington, South Carolina. Lawrence attended Twin City High School in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina. He was employed by Sloan Construction Company of Columbia, South Carolina for 50 years. He was preceded in death by four brothers – Joseph, Robert, James, and Frank Dozier; one sister – Earlene Coleman. Lawrence was a loving Father and Friend to all who knew and loved him. He will always be remembered; to know him was to love him. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife - Gladys Dozier of the home- three loving daughters – Jacqueline Coleman of Batesburg, South Carolina, Renee (James) Robinson of Leesville, South Carolina, Angela (Anthony) Dozier of Leesville, South Carolina, three sons – Johnny (Michelle) Samuels of Irmo, South Carolina; Bobby (Tara) Dozier of Johnston, South Carolina; Lamar (Kasey) Watkins of Columbia, South Carolina; the other children of Mr. and Mrs. Dozier's hearts, Jacqueline (Elroy) Carson of Columbia, South Carolina, Donald (Denise) Murray of West Columbia, South Carolina, Willie (Laura) Murray of Ridge Spring, South Carolina, James (Debra) Murray of Batesburg, South Carolina, David (Nancy) Murray of Monetta, South Carolina and Bobby (Rena) Gantt of Batesburg, South Carolina; one loving caregiver – Angela Dozier; five sisters - Anna Wright of Bronx, New York; Evanese (Willie) Johnson and Mary Whitt, both of Batesburg, South Carolina; Ella Ree (Anthony) Wigfall of Ridge Springs, South Carolina; Julia Mae (Lonnie) Outzs of Saluda, South Carolina; the family would also like to include Ned West, who is a loving, close, and caring family member; twenty grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly. I know that you are at peace and your soul is finally resting. No more aches and no more pain. For God has called you home to accept your wings. Your smile and laughter, we will truly miss indeed. We will love and miss you dearly. Until we meet again, you will forever and always be in our hearts.
