Lawrence "Larry" A. Jackson, Jr.
September 18th, 1947 - May 26th, 2019
Lawrence A. Jackson, of Deptford, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019. He was aged 71 years. Legacy Larry will be fondly remembered for his warm smile and gentle personality. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his service, Larry returned home, met and married a young lady by the name of Laura. Together they shared 50 years of marriage and raised two daughters. Larry worked for SEPTA as a mechanic. Away from his work, Larry enjoyed camping and boating. Most of all, Larry enjoyed the time spent with his family creating memories that will now be cherished as his legacy. Larry will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved this special man. Family Larry is the beloved husband of Laura (nee Alloway); loving father of Mary (Joseph) Metz and Jennifer (Marcus) Henriquez; dear brother of Lonnie Chafardon, Richard, David, Matthew, Joseph and the late Phillip Jackson; grandfather of Joseph Metz, Jr., Maranda Metz and Marcus Henriquez. Farewell Tribute Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation after 9:00AM on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Washington Township where his Memorial Ceremony will follow at 11 AM. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown (Monroe Twp.), NJ.
