February 7th, 1991 - June 18th, 2022
On Saturday, June 18, 2022, Lawrence "Pollo" Lopez, loving son, brother and father of one child, passed away at age 31. Lawrence was born on February 7, 1991 in Las Cruces, NM to Alfred and Martha Lopez. Lawrence had a love for skate boarding and he loved to go fishing. He was known for his beautiful smile, contagious laugh, and love of fried chicken. Lawrence was kind and loving. Lawrence was preceded in death by his mother, Martha. He is survived by father, Alfred, his son Elijah Leyba of Santa Fe, his brother Alfred Lopez Jr., sisters, Melissa and spouse, Jeffrey Scott, Carmen and spouse, Martin Medina and Amanda and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at St. Geneviev's Church in Las Cruces with a viewing at 9:00am, Rosary at 9:30am and Mass at 10:00am. Flowers may be sent to St. Geneviev's Church, 100 S. Espina St., Las Cruces, NM.
