Lawrence Eugene Sasso

Lawrence Eugene Sasso, 70, a 50 year resident of Henderson and Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014. Larry was born May 15, 1944 in Joliette IL to Alice and the late Lawrence Sasso. He was a police office for the Sherriff’s Department and Metro, worked as a window cleaner and had his own home improvement company. Larry also worked as a stage hand, out of Local 720. He loved comics, building things, traveling, gardening, attending plays, shopping and cooking. His most cherished way to spend his time was with his grandchildren. He was a long-time member of Congregation Ner Tamid and a one-time member of their choir. Larry is survived by his wife of 41 years, Lynn Sasso; children Andrea Sasso of Las Vegas, Jennifer Sasso of Las Vegas, Michael (Deanna) Reininger of Astoria NY, Steven (Elaine) Reininger of Las Vegas and Craig (Jessica) Sasso of Las Vegas; mother Alice Sasso of Las Vegas; grandchildren Christopher Reininger, Alexander Reininger, Alicia Sasso, Summer Sasso, Hailey Sasso, Taylor Sasso, Cole Sasso and Bella Sasso.; and siblings Robert (Karen) Sasso of IN, Marilyn Pierce of IL and Anthony Sasso of Las Vegas. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Congregation Ner Tamid, 55 N Valle Verde Dr., Henderson, NV, with burial immediately following at King David Memorial Cemetery, 2697 E.
