Leah Doris Anderson
March 11th, 1920 - November 8th, 2000
Doris Anderson, 80, of Greeley, CO died Wednesday, November 8, 2000 at Hospice of Northern Colorado inpatient unit. She was born March 11, 1920 in Goodrich to Warren Armor and Verna Rose (Strickland) Blodgett. Mrs. Anderson attended schools in Goodrich and Orchard. She graduated from Weldon high school, now Weldona Valley High in Weldona, CO. After attnending beauty school in Greeley she worked as a beautician in the Greeley area. A greyhound breeder and greyhound transporter for many years, she was a life member of the Greyhound Hall of Fame. Survivors are a daughter, Susan Beecher of Greeley; a sister, Ruth Schocke of Fort Morgan, CO; three brothers, Warren S. Blodgett of Ft. Collins, Douglas V. Blodgett of Pueblo, CO and James H. Blodgett of Denver, CO; and three grandchildren. Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Adamson Memorial Downtown Chapel. Instead of flowers, contributions may be made to "Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inc." in care of Adamson Memorial downtown Chapel, 827 5th Street, Greeley 80631.
