Lee Rodriguez

July 28th, 1944 - March 3rd, 2024

Proverbs 31:31:Ā "Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."

Lee Rodriguez reached the end of her wonderful life on March 3, 2024 at the age of 79.

Ā

Born to Manuel Vasquez and Louise Whetstone on July 28, 1944, Lee was precious to everyone in her life. Leeā€™s love poured out through her hands, whether she was rolling tortillas, spreading tamales, cleaning houses, or rocking a baby to sleep. She left a piece of herself in everything she made and did. Her touch left impressions on all our hearts.

Ā

Lee was a caretaker through and through. If anyone was in need, she typically ended up finding a way to help, offering up anything she had. Her most treasured moments were those spent among her family. She was very blessed to have a son and two daughters, who then gave her six grandchildren, who then blessed her with four great-grandchildren. Not a day went by where she wasnā€™t praying for all of them. Leeā€™s family was arguably her proudest achievement in life.Ā

Ā

Lee is survived by her husband, Manuel Rodriguez, her children Ed Rodriguez, Lori Martinez, and Nora Dozier, her grandchildren, Damitri Martinez, Desirae Martinez, Miranda Minter, Darian Martinez, Kaleb Dozier, and Brooke Springer, her great-grandchildren, Kalvin Dozier, Levi Dozier, Jeremiah Minter, Luciana Minter, her siblings, Rose Doll, Kathy Chrisinger, Joe Vasquez, Dee Niblett, Sam Vasquez, and Scott Whetstone.Ā

How did you meet Lee?

Lee was my son Jeff's mother-law. When Jeff married Lee's wonderful daughter Nora, our families were forever joined. We shared our 3 special grandchildren, Miranda, Kaleb and Brooke. I saw Lee at many special occasions over the years. Kids birthday parties, later graduations, bridal, baby, wedding showers and weddings. As the family grew when Miranda married Dayton, Kaleb married Megan and Brooke Married Alec, Lee was "grandma" to all. Our four great grandchildren, Kalvin, Levi, JJ and Luci were showered in Lee's love. Lee was also so kind to me when we were together asking about my family. Her kindness, support and love for family touched all who knew this amazing lady. I will miss her smile and they way her eyes lit up when she talked about her family. Lee always took care of others and opened her heart and home. Lee was not only a loving mother of three and grandmother but also a best friend to them. I admired her strength and it was a blessing and privilege to know this great lady. Lee knew our Lord Jesus and we will see her again in Heaven. In Loving Memory, Jo Dozier

Lee Rodriguez.. I knew her as grandma. I had the blessing and honor of knowing this wonderful woman for 4 years. In those short years, she immediately made me feel loved and cherished. She always wanted to know how I was doing, wanted to hear about her great grandbabies, and we looked forward to coming to visit her and be in her loving presence. She loved holding Kalvin and Levi, and they loved being held by her. She always cooked our favorite dinner, Pazole. Thereā€™s one thing for certain, she LOVED her family. Every single person, blood related or married in. It was an unconditional love that I am so grateful to have experienced. Iā€™m grateful to know that she is in heaven now, without pain, in a place of joy that is beyond our understanding. Although we will miss her dearly here on earth, God has blessed us with a beautiful guardian angel who I know will continue to pray for us all as she did here on earth. Rest in eternal peace, Grandma Lee Rodriguez, until we meet you again. ā¤ļø
