Lee E. West

West, Lee E., 55, of Gulfport, died Monday November 29, 2004. Born in Scottsburg, IN, he came here in 1972 from Charleston, SC. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War and graduated from St. Petersburg College. He retired from GTE after 25 years of service where he was Director of Facilities in St. Petersburg, Tampa and Texas. He was currently enrolled in Clayton College of Natural Health and was a Multi-Million Dollar Producer at Wave Realty. He was the 2004 and 2005 Advocacy Chairman for the ACS Relay for Life for Gulfport, St. Pete Beach & South St. Petersburg and was co-founder of the S.P.I.R.I.T.S. of St. Petersburg. He is survived by his wife, Karen; two sons: Ray from Texas; and Lee from Ohio; a brother, John from Georgia; and his mother, Clarice from Pinellas Park.
