LeeAnn Barackman

March 27th, 1949 - January 22nd, 2012

LeeAnn was born in Portland Oregon to Kenneth Jack Raley and Avon Rose Martin. She was raised in East Portland and graduated from Madison High School in 1967. LeeAnn began her career as a secretary with Gilmore Steel and then NW Natural Gas Company. In 1985 she joined the Beaverton School District as a clerical aide at Errol Hassell Elementary, later advancing to Principal Secretary. In 1999 she transferred to Terra Linda Elementary where she worked until her retirement in 2010. LeeAnn truly loved her job as the school secretary because it gave her the opportunity to take care of the children as well as ease the fears and concerns of parents. She always wanted the school office to feel like a welcoming and compassionate portal to the learning environment. She was determined to stay connected and in-touch with the school staff and their needs. There was hardly ever a school related problem she couldn’t take care of. She married Douglas Glen Barackman January, 18 1975 and together they raised their children Ryan and Trisha. Ryan married Jeni Petersen in 2001 and together they have brought grandsons Gavin and Cohen to the family. Trisha married Devin Ausbie in 2003 and they have brought in granddaughters Maleah and Janae. LeeAnn’s pride and joy was her family and she especially cherished the love, compassion, strength and fun they brought her during her long struggle with pulmonary fibrosis (Bird Fanciers disease). A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of LeeAnn is planned for Saturday, February, 11, 2012 at 1:00PM at the Southlake Foursquare Church, 1555 SW Borland Rd., West Linn, OR. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Southlake Care Ministries. Arrangements by Autumn Funerals, Cremation & Burial, Tigard, Oregon.
