LeeRoy B Mellies, 87, of Eagle, Idaho passed away peacefully on February 3, 2024, at St. Alphonsus Region Medical Center, Boise, Idaho. LeeRoy was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on November 18, 1936, the son of Everett B. Mellies and Elise Marie Elizabeth Skaar. Raised in Gooding, Idaho, he graduated from Gooding High School in 1956. Shortly after graduating, LeeRoy decided to serve his country and joined the United States Air Force from 1957 ~ 1961. He was stationed in Germany until his discharge from the Air Force under Honorable Conditions. On August 4, 1962, LeeRoy married Billie Jean Frost in Meridian, Idaho and together they had two children, Andrea Jo and Roy Bradley. After returning home from overseas, LeeRoy enrolled into Boise Junior College and graduated with a technical certification in Automotive Collision Repair. He worked in the auto body repair business from 1963 until his retirement in 2007. LeeRoy love for building and repairing of all things mechanical, structural, and anything else he could get his hands-on was a life passion for him. LeeRoy loved to fish and spend time up North in Cascade, Idaho, at the Family Cabin, which he built entirely with his own hands. LeeRoy is survived by; His wife Billie Jean, daughter Andrea (Bill) Curtis, son Roy, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. LeeRoy was preceded in death by his parents. A very special thank you to everyone at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, Emergency Room, all the personnel on the 5th Floor, South Tower and the Inpatient Palliative Care Team. Funeral Services will be held at Summers Funeral Home on Saturday 17 February 2024 at 10:00am with Pastor John Grimsted officiating. Interment will be at Star Cemetery following Funeral Service.
