Lena Hershey

Lena F. Hershey Lena F. Hershey, 95, passed away April 16, 2011, at home in Olympia, Washington. She was born February 14, 1916, in Indiana to Cyrus and Angeline Oyler Kunkel. Lena was married in 1946 and raised two sons who survive her, Jay Hershey and Roy Hart. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Lena lived in Olympia for 46 years, loved being a mother and housewife, and enjoyed flower gardening. She also was a Nichiren Shoshu Buddhist. Lena will be greatly missed and remembered fondly by those who knew her. DONATIONS: Friends have established a benefit account at TwinStar Credit Union to provide assistance to Lena's son, Jay.
