Lena Reale

"South Hadley - Lena (Moroni) Reale died peacefully on October 29, 2018. She was born in Holyoke, MA on August 6, 1924, daughter of Fred and Theresa (DaRoss) Moroni. Lena attended Holyoke schools and graduated from Holyoke High School. She met and married James Reale, Sr. and they moved to South Hadley where they raised their family.Lena worked as an Executive Assistant at Community Savings Bank in Holyoke for many years before retiring in 1989. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining, and she was an accomplished vocalist performing in several choirs.After retirement, Lena and Jim moved to Port St. Lucie, FL where she lived until Jim's death in 2007. She then split her time between Florida and Massachusetts.Lena is also predeceased by her son James Reale, Jr. and her brother Arthur Moroni. Lena is survived by her son Karl Reale and his wife Nancy of South Hadley; her daughter Sondra Burke and her husband Stephen of Port St. Lucie, FL; her son Arthur Reale of Oakland, CA; grandchildren Nicole Chapdelaine of Las Vegas, NV, and Todd Chapdelaine of Daytona, FL; and three great grandchildren.A calling hour will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at the Beers and Story South Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St. with a service at 10:00 at the funeral home. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice."
