Leoma June (Sears) Orcutt

July 21, 1935 – August 25, 2024

Leoma Orcutt left this earth to meet her beloved husband, Daniel, at Heaven’s Gate early morning on Sunday, August 25th. Lee, as she was fondly known, was a proud Colorado native born in Colorado Springs to Edgar and Bessie Sears.

Lee is a 1953 graduate from Colorado Springs High School, nka Palmer High School. After graduation she worked as a commercial artist at Alexander Film Company, and was an active participant in community events. In December 1955 she married Daniel Ralph Orcutt and became a submariner’s wife.

When she was not working in her vegetable and flower gardens during the warm months she kept busy with sewing, crocheting, knitting and working on her art projects. She created wonderful oil paintings that will remain a legacy to her family of her beautiful and creative nature.

Lee worked for Sears and Roebuck for many years and later became a school bus driver for District 20. She was then promoted to hiring and teaching new drivers until she retired after 20 years of service. She and Dan then enjoyed some adventurous traveling.

Lee is survived by her four children, Kevin, Steven (Becky), Pamela, Timothy (Patsy), fifteen grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Remembrance service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 5th, at Palmer Lake Town Hall, 42 Valley Crescent Street, Palmer Lake, CO 80133.
