Leona "Lee" L. Whipple
May 21st, 1949 - December 4th, 2021
Leona L. "Lee" Whipple, 72, of Fultonville, New York, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2021 at St Mary's Hospital. Leona was born on May 21, 1949 to Roger and Charlotte (Tracy) Sleezer. She attended local schools, and was a graduate of Fonda-Fultonville High School. On August 16, 1967 she was united in marriage to William W. Whipple Sr. of Fultonville, and they have shared the past 54 years together. Lee devoted her life to taking care of her family. She raised her two children, and later turned all of her attention to caring for her mother and husband. Any spare time Lee had she spent in her craft room sewing, or she was out looking for garage sales. Her loving family includes her husband, William W. Whipple Sr.; her children, Annette Kilmartin and William W. (Mabellene) Whipple Jr.; her mother, Charlotte Sleezer; six grandchildren, Cassandra, Shelby, Joshua, Kelsi, Tiffany, and Ciara; nine great-grandchildren; as well as her sister, Candace (Abe) Medel. She is preceded in passing by her father, Roger Sleezer. Funeral services will be conducted on December 8, 2021 at noon at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St, Fultonville with the Rev. Thomas Flander Jr. presiding. Interment will follow in Maple Avenue Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call on December 8, 2021 from 11:00AM until noon at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home. Masks will be required.
