Leonard G Mullins
May 4th, 1947 - August 19th, 2016
Leonard (Lenn) Gleason Mullins Age 69, died suddenly on August 19, 2016 as the result of a severe abdominal infection. He is survived by his wife Donna of Ft. Lupton, CO., his brother Carl Mullins and his wife Leisa of Muskogee, OK., sister Mary Alvernez of Los Banos, CA., sister-in-law Susie Mullins of Oklahoma City, OK., step-son Jarod Henderson and step-grandson Wyatt Henderson of Ft. Lupton, CO., also other in-laws, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Leonard was born May 4, 1947 to Burl Green Mullins and Mary Mollie Margaret Mullins in Vian, OK. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Edgar Francis (Bud) Mullins, Codie Green Mullins, John S. Mullins, Freddie Leon Mullins, and Charles Stephens, sisters Lyda Inez Mullins, Fanny Mathis, Evaline (Tudie) Stephens, and Nova Jennings. Leonard grew up in Yukon, OK. where he attended schools and played lots of baseball and football. As he got older he learned carpentry and construction from his brothers John and Carl and worked with them on job sites until he injured his back. Leonard moved to Texas and while there he went to Commercial Truck Driving School. After receiving his degree he relocated to Colorado and went to work for Chrisco Transport as an over the road driver. He did this many years and traveled many miles. Eventually he quitdriving over the road and went to work forUniversal Forest Products in Lafayette, CO. locally hauling roof trusses and walls for new home construction. At age 62 Leonard retired from all truck driving. In 1997 Leonard met Donna and they were married on October 30, 1999. He enjoyed camping, fishing, county music, and watching grandson Wyatt (who called him Poppy) participate in sports. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank all who have offered their condolences. We have honored Leonard's wishes that there be cremation and no services.
