Leslie Karen Bell, 74, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 at home in Boise. She was born in Portland, Oregon on October 25, 1943 the first of four children to Max and Ione Bell. The family moved back to Boise in 1947. Leslie was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. She loved music and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was activity involved in the church and her high school reunions. Leslie was known for always having cats. Leslie graduated from Borah High School in 1962 and from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington in 1966. After graduation she taught high school in Pueblo, Colorado for one year. She then moved to Sacramento, California and worked at the University of California Davis. While in California she was very active with the Young Republicans. In 1996 she moved back to Boise and worked at the YMCA until retiring in 2006. Leslie was predeceased by her parents, Max and Ione Bell and niece Sara Shellworth. She is survived by her sister Linda Daniels and husband Dick, her brother John and wife Arlene, her sister Janet Shellworth, 7 nieces and nephews and 10 great nieces and nephews. Leslie’s service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, Cassia and Latah, on June 18th at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite animal charity.
