Beck, Lester Arthur, 84, of St. Petersburg, died Monday July 17, 2000 at home. Born in Cincinnati, OH, he came here in 1997 from Cambridge, MA where he had worked for New England Gas and Electric from 1954 until his retirement in 1979. He was a former member of Phi Gamma Delta at Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH and was Lutheran. Survivors include one nephew and grand niece, Gary and Katherine Beck, both of Cincinnati, OH; one grand nephew, Charles Beck, San Francisco, CA; and one cousin, Ruth Lay, Naples, FL. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel, St. Petersburg.
