Lester K. Edgar

Lester K. Edgar, Sr., 61, of Lincoln Park Lane, Richmondville, formerly of Amsterdam, passed away on his 61st birthday Sunday, September 16, 2007 at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT. He was born in Cobleskill on September 16, 1946 a son of Viola Peterson Edgar and the late Orville Edgar. Lester was a life resident of the area and attended schools in Amsterdam. He worked as a Taxi Cab Driver for Yellow Cab in Amsterdam. He enjoyed having fun, making people laugh and spending time with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. His loving family includes his mother, Viola Edgar of Amsterdam, his former wife and dear friened, Patty Rose of Rotterdam, a son, Lester K. Erin Edgar, Jr. of Richmondville, four daughters, Barbara Vadney of Saratoga Springs, Stasi Gregory Shafer of Colonie, Dawn Deming of Rotterdam and Heather Edgar of Colonie, three brothers, Edward, Lloyd and John, a sister, Sharron, ten grandchildren, John, Matthew and Katherine Fletcher, Mikayla, Gregory, Jr., and Jeremy Shafer, Elizabeth and Chad Ovitt, Selena Rohling and Alaina Perry. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, September, 20, 2007 at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010 with Rev. Cynthia Leonard, officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday from 12:00 noon to 1:00PM. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Amsterdam.
