LeVerne Audrey Witkow

LeVerne Audrey Witkow, age 93, a 41 year resident of Henderson and Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013 at home, surrounded by her family. LeVerne was born April 7, 1920 in Milwaukee WI to the late Joseph and the late Hannah (Rubenstein) Schulman. LeVerne worked as a 2nd grade teacher prior to having children. She was a kind, classy graceful woman who was loved by all who met her. LeVerne is survived by her brother Cyril Schulman of Milwaukee WI ; daughters Nadine Bleeker of Henderson, Judith (Don) Giarratano of Palos Verdes CA and Barbara Witkow of Bellevue WA; daughter-in-law Bonnie Witkow of Los Angeles CA; grandchildren Brandon (Erin) Witkow, Bryan (Valerie) Witkow, Joseph Bleeker, Sarah (Scott) King, Gina (Tracy) Gilland and Rachel (Heather) Giarratano.; great-grandchildren Matthew and Ethan Witkow, Alex and Ryan King, Aidan Suess and Isabella Gilland; and long time friend and around-the-world traveling companion, Sylvia Rassell. She is predeceased by her husband Alexander Witkow, son Elliot Witkow and daughter Ellen Witkow. Contributions in LeVerne's memory may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice, www.nah.org.
